4 Worst Fall Fashions-TBdress Reviews

Today, TBdress Reviews would like to share the worst fall fashions with you. Maybe it's what you want to know!
1. Peep-Toe Boots
I love boots. They look great with skirts, dresses, and jeans. They’re also entirely practical in the colder months, keeping your feet warm and protecting them from the elements. So cutting out the tips to expose your toes is a two-fold assault—on style and on function. It looks ridiculous, and it’s about as logical as wearing footless socks or a backless coat.
2.Ripped Tights and Leggings
Remember the ripped tights teenage girls everywhere sported in the far-off days of grunge? The return of that look would almost be tolerable. But the ripped tights (and leggings!) we’re seeing today are a lot more roughed-up hooker than they are vintage Courtney Love (on second thought, is there a difference?).
3. Stud Overkill
It’s one thing to have a string of studs on your handbag, wallet, or shoes. But an oversized bag covered in studs? A pair of ankle boots drowning in pointy metal dots? It’s a little OTT. And it looks cheap.
4.Furry Vests
The fur vest is being touted as the statement piece for Fall/Winter 2009. It comes in real or faux, long or short, in black, white, brown, and everything in between. Fashion icon Kate Moss has been sporting this look for some time now—and pulling it off the way only she can do (we admit it, we’re jealous). Recently, fur vests have made their way onto the frail bodies of young Hollywood, so it probably won’t be long before department stores jump on the bandwagon.
I like vests. I even like fur (faux, of course!). But something about this combo reminds me too much of a medieval hair shirt, and I’m just not in the mood for punishment.
We realize fashion is somewhat subjective, so we don’t expect you to agree with our scathing assessment of this season’s trends. But whether you cringe at the sight of laddered tights or can’t wait to get your hands on a pair, I think we can all agree on one thing: none of these looks are appropriate for the office.

3 Worst Fall Fashions-TBdress Reviews

Today, TBdress Reviews would like to share the worst fall fashions with you. Maybe it's what you want to know!
1. Half Shaved Hair
Back in the early 90s, some of the more “alternative” girls at school used to shave their heads just at the nape of the neck—a type of risk-free, suburbanite rebellion. All you had to do was take down your ponytail after school and no one at the dinner table would be the wiser!
The new hairstyle being sported by Rihanna (it’s her second offense!) and others is reminiscent of that era—but gutsier. And not in a good way. I can’t imagine any of us mere mortals would actually sport this look in real life, but enough celebrities have jumped on the bandwagon to make it worth pointing out (read: mocking).
2. Harem Pants
Otherwise known as parachute pants. Or—to a certain generation—Hammer pants. A ballooning, pleated top followed by an exceptionally unflattering tapered ankle? Classy!
These pants don’t look good on anyone. Not celebrities, not models and certainly not you or me. Why? If skinny jeans are unforgiving to anyone without a perfect silhouette, harem pants manage to be even worse by adding pounds to the most slender of physiques. Not to mention the fact that they just look stupid. So, unless you want your behind to look four times its size (and saggy), steer clear of this trend.
3. Stirrup Leggings
On a personal note, I’ve always hated stirrup pants—back in elementary school my mom actually forced me to wear them (along with a number of other “fashionable” atrocities). I hated them even more than the “it’s-cute-when-little-girls-dress-slutty” daisy dukes/crop top ensemble she laid out on my bed one unforgettable summer morning. These pants irritated the bottoms of my feet and crept down my waist.
What’s the point of the straps anyway? Surely leggings stay put just fine without them.
This look actually started making its way back into the mainstream as far back as ‘06 but seems to have peaked in ’09. But now that they’re selling them at Walmart, they must be on their way out. Here’s hoping!

3 Worst Fall Fashions-TBdress Reviews

Today, TBdress Reviews would like to share the worst fall fashions with you. Maybe it's what you want to know!
1. Acid Washed Jeans
These were bad enough the first time around. This faded wash comes from stripping the fabric of its dye to expose the white underneath. It can be done all over or in bits and splotches. Either way, it’s hideous.
Here is the rule for fashion comebacks: If you were old enough to wear them the first time around, you’re too old to wear them in their resurgence. In the case of acid washed jeans, age is irrelevant. No one looks good in these.
2. Cutouts
This trend started back in ’08 and continues to force its way onto the scene. From dresses to shoes to leggings, fabric is being cut right out of our favorite items like it’s going out of style (and we hope it is). Is the recession to blame? Are designers saving money by skimping on fabric? Who knows?! What I do know is that this style always looks like a manufacturing flaw to me.
There are, of course, some exceptions. Mad Men’s January Jones wore a very elegant Versace gown at the Emmys that could technically be considered a “cutout” gown, yet it managed to be stunning in its art-deco glory. But a little black dress that looks like a paper snowflake? No, thank you.
3. Oversized Shoulder Pads
Joan Crawford first popularized shoulder pads her 1932 film Letty Lynton, and the style has made several comebacks ever since. But none has been more memorable than the shoulder pad craze of the 1980s, when the look became the single most defining feature in a decade known for full-blown power dressing. So it’s no surprise that in 2009 (as all things 80s resurface), shoulder pads are back on the scene.
And hey, we admit it—we’re liking the return of power dressing. We’re even coming around to the idea of shoulder pads, in the spirit of creating a more structured silhouette. But the “ear-brushing” look being sported by Victoria Beckham and Rihanna? These things look like something out of Star Trek. Or worse, Monday Night Football.

Women banned from wearing trousers in Paris-TBdress Reviews

A decree banning women from wearing trousers in Paris is still technically in force, it emerged on Monday, making the laissez-faire French capital theoretically stricter than hardline Sudan in the fashion stakes.
The rule banning women from dressing like men – namely by wearing trousers - was first introduced in 1800 by Paris' police chief and has survived repeated attempts to repeal it.
The 1800 rule stipulated than any Parisienne wishing to dress like a man "must present herself to Paris' main police station to obtain authorisation".
In 1892 it was slightly relaxed thanks to an amendment which said trousers were permitted "as long as the woman is holding the reins of a horse".
Then in 1909, the decree was further watered down when an extra clause was added to allow women in trousers on condition they were "on a bicycle or holding it by the handlebars".
In 1969, amid a global movement towards gender equality, the Paris council asked the city's police chief to bin the decree. His response was: "It is unwise to change texts which foreseen or unforeseen variations in fashion can return to the fore."
The latest attempt to remove the outmoded rule was in 2003, when a Right-wing MP from President Nicolas Sarkozy's UMP party wrote to the minister in charge of gender equality. The minister's response was: "Disuse is sometimes more efficient than (state) intervention in adapting the law to changing mores."
As Evelyne Pisier, a law professor whose book Le Droit des Femmes (The Rights of Women) unearthed the curious decree points out, given that trousers are compulsory for Parisian policewoman, they are all breaking the law.

Making cheapie items look far more expensive-TBdress Reviews

Today, TBdress Reviews would like to share some tips for making cheapie items look far more expensive than they are. Maybe it's what you want to know!
1. Belt It
If your cool, inexpensive new dress comes with a sash, chances are that said sash is junky looking. Ditch the flimsy faux-silk ribbon in favor of a thicker, less synthetic one from a craft or fabric store. Or, better yet, lose the sash altogether and add a nice belt.
2. Fabric Is Important
Style you can fake, fabric you cannot. Regardless of how great the shape is, cheap fabric is always obvious. Stay away from anything that’s more than 20 percent synthetic. Shiny things, too, take you down a dangerous road.
3. Buy Expensive Accessories
You’ve saved money on the dress and jacket, so buy a kick ass pair of shoes. Not only will they look better now, they won’t fall apart next month. Cheap shoes, much like icky fabric, look obvious. Same goes for bags and belts. Every girl should own at least one nice purse and belt.

Make Cheap Clothes Look Classy-TBdress Reviews

Today, TBdress Reviews would like to share some tips for making cheapie items look far more expensive than they are. Maybe it's what you want to know!
Sometimes it’s hard to understand why designer clothes cost as much as they do. Admittedly, a decent chunk of the price discrepancy between non-designer and designer items has everything to do with the fancy labels. But another part of that astronomical price tag is legitimately deserved. Designer clothes, after all, are simply made well. The finishes are superior, the fabric more expensive and the general quality far and away beyond the average wear-it-once frocks you find at stores like Forever21.
That said, four digits for a cocktail dress is still quite a lot to wrap one’s head around. So here’s one for all the ladies (and gentlemen) who are appalled at the idea of spending much on clothes but still want to look classy. Take the jump and you’ll find five really easy tips for making cheapie items look far more expensive than they are.
1. Change the Buttons
Perfectly passable inexpensive pieces are given away time and again by their crappy buttons. The good news is that all you have to do is go to a fabric store, buy more expensive looking buttons and replace those junky plastic ones. If you’re feeling particularly lazy, you can even pay someone $5–10 to do it for you.
2. Alter It
I’m starting to feel like a broken record, but I really can’t tell you how much of a difference slight alterations make. Shorten the hems on your bargain pants and you’ll look chic rather than vaguely like you’re trying to sweep the streets. Taper your pencil skirt just slightly to give it some shape. Nip the waist of that dress or those pants in and your outfit will automatically look more expensive.

Fool-Proof Ways to De-Clutter Your Style2-TBdress Reviews

Today, TBdress Reviews would like to share below tips with you. Maybe it's very useful to you!
If your closet is bursting at the seams, but you're tired of wearing the same outfits week after week, it's time to refine and reorganize your wardrobe. A good wardrobe revamp will not only unearth those hidden gems, it will help you hone your personal style and step away from old, safe outfit choices so you can have a fresh look in the new year.
1. Be Brutal:
If you really want a sleek and chic closet, you'll have to be strict. If your jeans are too tight and give you a muffin top, they have to go. If an item doesn't fit and flatter, get rid of it. Get rid of things you never wear, even if you like them. Jess Zaino, New York-based stylist says, "if you haven't worn it for six months, if it still has a tag on it, or has any yellowing and frays, ditch it!"
2. Dare To Be Different:
Honing your style can be easier than it seems. Bloch suggests choosing basics with a slight twist. A little black dress can have an "interesting sleeve or an interesting neckline that makes you a little bit more chic," he says. "It can also be navy or perhaps, deep plum or forest green." A classic black suit could be charcoal gray or brown.
3. Listen To Yourself:
When trying on items, Bloch says, "ask yourself, does it look good on my waist, my arms, my hips? Go down your body." Zaino also suggests going with your gut. "If you put it on and it makes you look and feel divine," she says, "keep it and wear it. Listen to your inner stylist and go for what looks and feels great."

Fool-Proof Ways to De-Clutter Your Style1-TBdress Reviews

Today, TBdress Reviews would like to share below tips with you. Maybe it's very useful to you!
If your closet is bursting at the seams, but you're tired of wearing the same outfits week after week, it's time to refine and reorganize your wardrobe. A good wardrobe revamp will not only unearth those hidden gems, it will help you hone your personal style and step away from old, safe outfit choices so you can have a fresh look in the new year.
1. Be Prepared:
Half the battle of de-cluttering the closet is in the preparation. Style expert Phillip Bloch says, "it's all about getting yourself mentally set to do it. Think positively about how much better you're going to feel after it's done. Get yourself psyched like an athlete going into the big game." Bloch also suggests making space for a throwaway pile and a donate pile and having masking tape and a marker ready for labeling bags. Be ready with labels and a marker pen for bags of rejects.
2. Take Stock:
Take a good, long look at your closet. It's best to take absolutely everything out and lay it on the bed ready for your equally essential try-on session. Bring all your shoes out of hiding, too, as some items you've previously ignored can be revived with the right shoe. If possible, have a trusted friend on hand to give an honest opinion when you begin sorting through clothes and shoes, as well as trying on your garments.

Handbags Every Woman Should Own3-TBdress Reviews

Today, TBdress Reviews would like to share a set of bangs with you. Hope you enjoy it!
The Arm Candy:
At first glance, the clutch seems impractical—it can barely hold a set of keys—but that's because you're thinking of it as a carryall, not what it really is: a bauble with purpose. It's just as eye-catching as a pair of chandelier earrings, but unlike jewelry, it discreetly holds your bare necessities.
When shopping, make a fist around your cell phone and stick it in a prospective clutch. If it fits, the handbag should have just enough space for your night-out essentials, dubbed "PMILK" by sartorial minimalists: phone, money, ID, lipcolor, keys.

Warm the Cockles of Their Insulas
If you want people to act more warmly, offer them a hot cup of coffee and make them hold it for a minute or two. Subconsciously, temperature affects our perceptions—and actions—find studies by Yale University psychologist John Bargh, PhD, and his colleagues.
In one, volunteers who held a warm-pack before playing a game trusted in and invested more money with an anonymous partner than did those whose hands were chilled. It's a quirk of the insula, a prune-sized part of the brain that forms cross-associations between physical and psychological warmth. When you heat people up—even their hands, briefly—they perceive you and everyone else as warmer, and they respond in kind.

Work, errands, shopping, the occasional party—no matter what you've got going on, these styles will have no problem keeping up and keeping you looking up-to-date.
The best of human nature—generosity, compassion, cooperation, selflessness—surfaced in these studies. Of course, the goal is to draw out a person's good side, not exploit it. Use your powers wisely.
Inspire a Seat-of-the-Pants Moment:
When are people more generous: spontaneously or after stopping to think? To find out, Harvard researchers timed game players as they decided how much money to contribute to a pool that would be doubled and divvied up evenly (the more everyone chips in, the more they get). The result: Faster decisions are kinder. When (by force or choice) people took 10 seconds or less to decide, they contributed 15 percent more money to the common pot than those who took longer. Cooperation seems to be the first impulse (for most of us) before beady-eyed self-interest undermines it. The next time you're running a fundraising marathon, make a quick emotional appeal, then set a quick deadline for the donors.

Fashion fades, Style is eternal-TBdress Reviews

Today, TBdress Reviews would like to share Fashion fades, Style is eternal with you. Hope you enjoy it!
I know, this is a rather often-misused quotation but bottom line is that it’s true. Basically, this one lesson, our first one, is to understand the difference between what is a current trend and what is something that will last forever to be a faithful companion along the road to fashion nirvana. There are trend pieces, basics, evergreens and investment pieces. The perfect wardrobe consists of each, though I recommend to buy more evergreens and investment pieces, as those are the true survivors of time and changes because they go with it and adapt no matter the time, no matter the change.
As said before, a lot of people stupidly mistake buying labels for having style. But trust me—it hurts far more to look ridiculously stupid in a $5,000 Louis Vuitton dress than in a $40 H&M one.
At this point of time it’s crucial to quote Patricia Field, costume designer of our beloved Sex and the City, who said that, “You can’t get caught up by ‘is it expensive, is it a designer?’ It’s our eye that chooses and really, it doesn’t matter where it comes from.”And she is right—whatever you lay your eyes on, whatever you buy, whatever you fall in love remember one thing; if you don’t love it in the store, you are never going to wear it, and what’s really the sense in buying something just because it’s Prada or Bottega Veneta or Burberry, if you can’t commit to it one hundred percent? The relationship between yourself and your clothes should be as close as the relationship you have with a love interest—possibly even closer and deeper because in the end, a Prada dress or a pair of Burberry boots or that one H&M military jacket will never break your heart.
If you love something, stand behind it. It is what it is. Some people simply can’t afford the luxury of buying everything Chanel or Louis Vuitton and there’s no reason to be ashamed of that. Be proud of what you have and what you are able to treat yourself with. If you have style, you can rock H&M just like others might rock Prada. Truly, it is all about the confidence you inherit and radiate.

Finding Your Personal Style -TBdress Reviews

Today, TBdress Reviews would like to share the Finding Your Personal Style with you. Hope you enjoy it!
Fashion Fades, Style is Eternal
A lot of people (some I know personally, some I have just heard of, and some I know exist out there) define style by what you put on your back, the label of your shoes, or the name of your bag. This is not just thinking for those who know nothing about fashion or style except for being able to read price tags. It’s sad, and this kind of behavior beats the unique fashion world with all its powers and inspirations and possibilities to the ground by simply dismissing the process of getting to know yourself and transporting your inner self to your clothes.
Fashion is the only language that works in a global range without the necessity of using words to transport a message, set a statement or show your colors. Style is a dialect of fashion, and finding your own style is a process that takes time and effort and an open mind — to evolve, to develop, to grow, to change, to find yourself and analyze your true motives and purposes in life.

Flared Jeans-TBdress Reviews

Flared Jeans:
Flared jeans are still going strong this year. Flares become wider from the knees downward, forming a bell-like shape around the lower legs. If you’re looking for a pair of jeans to lengthen your legs and balance your hips, flared jeans are a good choice.
Dressing tips: flared jeans evoke a 1970s style. Suggested by tbdress.com, you can combine them with feminine garments, like a cute blouse with bows. To complete your vintage style look, you could add a blazer and wedge heels.
